Human migration in high density data representation

There is a post today on Boing Boing about human migration. Cory wishes for other types of representations of similar data. Karl Hartig created a great information density chart for the October 1995 Classroom Edition of the Wall Street Journal, which represents five dimensions (!) in an eminently readable and enjoyable form in Edward Tufte’s tradition.
