Map24 has been my favorite online mapping solution, after I discovered them as they won two Webby Awards in 2004. The vector based java plugin, which works with both Internet Explorer and Firefox, makes it the smoothest solution I’ve seen. Now they teamed up with Google Europe, so that when you search for a city name on the European Google sites (for Milan, for example), you get a link to look the city up on Map24. Same for ViaMichelin, which is very valid, and precise for route planning instructions, but I like less.
If I were Google I’d buy Map24, and put it on Google local everywhere (if only there were Google local everywhere…).
